Estos dos números cardinales en inglés los hemos puesto en una lista aparte porqué se trata de dos números que no siguen la misma regla que los demás números a partir del 10.
Del 13 al 19
Hasta aquí, cada número es distinto, pero del 12 al 19, todos siguen una misma estructura que es la de añadir -teen al final de cada número del 1 al 9, es decir, «número del 1 al 9 + teen» (sixteen, seventeen, nineteen…). Ahora bien, hay algunos que requieren pequeñas modificaciones (no es fiveteen, sino que es fifteen).

Números redondos en inglés
A partir de este momento, todos los números redondos (30, 40, 50…) se forman añadiendo -ty al número del 1 al 9, es decir, «número del 1 al 9 + ty» (sixty, seventy…). Ahora bien, al igual que con los anteriores, hay algunos de ellos que necesitan pequeñas modificaciones (twenty, thirty…).

Hasta aquí hemos aprendido los números en inglés del 1 al 20 y los redondos hasta el 90.
Números en inglés del 20 al 100
Después, para formar el 21, 22, 23, etc. solo hay que coger el número redondo (twenty, thirty, forty…) y añadirle el número del 1 al 9 correspondiente con un guión de separación. Así pues, sería «número redondo-número del 1 al 9». Esta regla sirve para todos los números hasta el 100.

Números en inglés del 100 al 200
Ahora que ya conocemos los números cardinales en inglés del 1 al 100, la cosa varia un poco. A partir de 100 y hasta el 199, usamos «one hundred + (and) + número». El uso del «and» es opcional.

Hasta este momento hemos aprendido los números en inglés del 1 al 1000 (los cardinales). A partir del 1000 se sigue la misma estructura. Vamos a ver primero los números redondos en inglés.
