Simple Present

El tiempo Presente Simple es el tiempo de verbo que se utiliza, entre otras cosas, para expresar acciones, eventos o situaciones al momento en que se habla. Por ejemplo:

Ann is a teacher.Ann es maestra.

She lives in London.Vive en Londres.

She wears glasses.Ella usa anteojos.

Este tiempo también se usa para expresar acciones habituales, que transcurren con cierta frecuencia. Por ejemplo:

Ann gets up at 7.Ann se despierta a las 7.

She usually has breakfast at 8.Usualmente desayuna a las 8.

She never arrives late.Nunca llega tarde.

Sin saberlo, en las lecciones anteriores ya has aprendido a conjugar los verbos en este tiempo.

Recordemos: Al conjugar los verbos regulares en tiempo presente, debe agregarse para la tercera persona del singular (He / She / It) una "s" al verbo base, mientras que para las demás personas el verbo permanece igual.

I live in London.
You live in London.
He lives in London.
She lives in London.
We live in London.
They live in London.

Pero cuando el verbo base termina en vocal (por ejemplo, "to go") se agrega "es" para la tercera persona del singular:

I go to the cinema.
You go to the cinema.
He goes to the cinema.
She goes to the cinema.
We go to the cinema.
They go to the cinema.

Para realizar preguntas en este tiempo verbal, se usa el auxiliar DO o DOES para la tercera persona del singular, como ya hemos visto. Y se contesta con Yes / No seguido de la persona y su auxiliar correspondiente afirmativo o negativo.

Do you live in London?
Yes, I do.

Does she go to the cinema?
No, she doesn't.

Para realizar una pregunta específica, se usa la "question word" (where, when, what, how, etc.) y luego, se sigue el mismo método. Se responde usando la frase completa.

Where do they go?
They go to the cinema.


What do you do on Sundays?
I do the laundry.

When does she read the paper?
She reads the paper from Monday to Friday.


How does she go to school?
She goes on foot.

 From  Mérida in Spain, Nerea took these photos in a small river which is next to our school. It is a pity because we can see a lot of trash in it. By  the way, the name of the river is ALBARREGAS.   A bridge and a acqueduct were built  over this river when the Roman city of  Augusta Emerita was founded, the bridge on the Albarregas river  is still is perfect condition and includes some of its original features.

 Miriam told us that The use of aerosols can destroy the ozone layer

and she sent us the following photo.

 Abdullatif went for a walk with his family to the country.

Unfortunately they found a lot of trash along the way.

PLANTS.

Ha sido un placer chicas, poder disfrutar el trabajo que habéis elaborado sobre las plantas.

En 2º de Primaria también estamos estudiando las plantas y por eso hoy habéis visitado ese curso,  para enseñar y  motivar a los compañeros más pequeños

Y lo habéis conseguido. Los peques estaban encantados.

Al final y aprovechando el tema de las plantas hemos decidido ir a visitar a Oliver, nuestro olivo del proyecto eTwinning "The Olive Tree" y alli hemos recordado que es un tipo de planta  con flores llamada ANGIOSPERMA y que su semilla está dentro del fruto que es la aceituna.

Kalsy ha estado en todo momento con nosotros,  ayudándonos con la pronunciación inglesa.

Los alumnos de 2º tienen preparada también una sorpresa sobre las plantas, pero eso os lo contaremos el martes.
